Why does Memorial Day have to be on P-Day?

No letter this week because of Memorial Day, the library is closed so therefore no computers.
He did however send a picture of the tornado headed right for him.

*TORNADO*

THUNDER AND BUGS

The only thing I might need is some more pants cuz the one's I have aren't working out but I'll get some at wall-mart. Oh, and we are out of snickers and I wana get elder Beatty fat before he goes home. If there is one thing I have learned on my mission it is the importance of have a clean house! Some of the places out here are so bad! We where helping to teach some people on Sunday and we went to this house and it was so bad!!! Not the worst one so far but really bad like open bottles of ketchup and ranch dressing. There were cockroaches all over the floor, (I better not describe the rest). Andy Houghton, who is my favorite person ever, was so sick of bugs crawling all over us after 1 hour we knew it was time to go. But that is not the worst house I've been to out here >.< to give you an idea I would rather sleep underneath the cabin than stay a night in some of the houses out here cuz it is just nasty, nasty, nasty. There was a cool thunderstorm last night. (Little does he know I was up all night checking the satellite and radar screens for Fredricktown Missouri because of the tornados hitting that area.) The thunder is more like a constant growl in the air here. The tornado sirens didn't go off so that was comforting and we have a member that lives close that has a big house and a tornado basement so we are safe if a tornado hits. =) Huge June bugs fly around and scare you, the fireflies are really cool.
We set two baptism dates yesterday so if those take place this area will be double the baptisms that the president set for the standards of excellence.

The First Bicycle Crash!

It is a lot of fun out here. We don't have a ward out here but there is a branch. The branch area is huge! The Houtans drive 40 minutes to get to church. Elder Beatty and I are getting good numbers, we are passing out a ton of books of mormon! We are teaching a lot of people and bringing a lot more people out to church. The members of the branch are really excited because of all the activity in Fredricktown.
Thank you so much for the bike, sorry it was so expensive but it was like the cheapest one they had. We bike a ton!!! We have to save our miles for when we have to travel 50 or more miles. We only get 1200 miles a month and we have to drive up to St. Louis. There is some rough road out here>.< I went off a three foot drop off which was scary because it was 9 at night and dark but my nice bike saved me.
Thanks for all of the food, that helps on cutting down costs. I gave a talk at church yesterday. It was pretty good, most of the people shed a tear. The investigators we brought, the _______ were crying. So I think that they must of felt the spirit. There were about 60 people there which is a full house. We have been teaching a lot of lessons lately so that has been fun. We are teaching a person named______ , he chews and drinks though so we will have to fix that. Actually everyone we are teaching drink, smokes, chews or uses illegal drugs or all of the above.
There are not a million bugs here so don't send anymore bug spray. I will send some pictures next week.  I forgot my cable this week. We work 11 hours a day study for 2 hours and 1/2 hour of exercise and 8 hours to sleep, so we are really busy! Baptisms are really hard to get here but each baptism is a miracle out here because it demands so much sacrifice from each person.
                                                                          Bye for now,
                                                                       Elder Campbell

Sorry for omitting names but I have heard that mission presidents don't want investigators names used in blogs. So I hope you will understand.

Week #1

Alex told me not to expect long letters and he is true to his word.
I don't really know what to talk about but everything is going great here. We are working hard and the people like us. The computers that we are using are so bad! If anything is wrong it is because the keyboard is super stiff. Let me know what you want me to tell you about because I could tell you about all of my investigators or the weather or the people here in Missouri. Just ask me questions so I can have something to tell you about. Missions are way fun and the days go by fast as long as you work hard. A lot of the people here are missing a lot of teeth because of using meth. It is a lot of fun being out here.
                                                                                                            Love,
                                                                                                            Elder Campbell
